The company is recruiting a Group leader in precision fermentation and metabolism analysis.

Opportunity and Challenge :

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, experienced scientist to lead a team dedicated to precision fermentation and metabolism analysis at Global Bioenergies.

The Role:

The Group Leader will be working in the “Strain Construction department” to

1)Lead a team that conducts all the precision fermentation experiments dedicated to the understanding and interpretation of the metabolism of production strains.

2)Propose strain engineering and fermentation strategies in order to optimize productivity, yield,titer and cost.

Your task will be to precisely analyze all the data coming from fermentation campaigns, shake flask experiments, and enzymatic tests in order to better understand the metabolism of the production strains. Therefore, your role will be at the core of Global Bioenergies’ R&D.

You will also present the results and conclusions to the whole team and participate in the meetings aimed at improving the process, facilitating the scale-up and accelerating the production at industrial scale. This role will also involve management skills andbibliographic research work.

Your Profile :

– Hold a PhD degree in Microbiology, Metabolism analysis or related field.

– Be familiar with the study of a large amount of data

– Be familiar with microbial metabolism analysis and enzymatic tests

– Experience in metabolomics would be a bonus

– Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment (microbiology, molecular biology, chemistry, bioprocess engineering)

– Good organizational skills, especially in project management

– French and English speaker
