Marc DELCOURT, Chairman of the Board, CEO and Cofounder: After his scientific training (Ecole Normale Supérieure, PhD in Molecular Biology in Canada), Marc Delcourt turns towards R&D activities in the field of bioprocesses and founded in 1997 the industrial biotech company Biométhodes. He leaves Biométhodes in 2008 to found Global Bioenergies.

Philippe MARLIERE, Cofounder: Philippe Marlière leads Global Bioenergies’ Scientific Advisory Board. He is a pioneer in the field of synthetic biology with his early work at the Pasteur Institute. He has since pursued his scientific work in several biotechnology companies that he has founded or cofounded. As a scientific partner of the CEA (largest French research organization for applied sciences) he advises the Director of Life Sciences in the fields of bioenergy and synthetic biology.

Sébastien GROYER, representing the investor Masseran Gestion: Masseran Gestion, a subsidiary of GCE Capital, owned by Caisse d’Epargne Group, handles the venture capital activities of the Caisse d’Epargne. This company has been active since 2008 and has already made a number of investments in domains such as new computing languages, optimization of the calculating power of computers and biofuels. Sébastien Groyer, Investment Director, has participated in the investment in, the administration, the market launch or takeover of about 20 innovative companies, mostly in the domain of life sciences
