Marc Delcourt, Cofounder and CEO
After his scientific training (Ecole Normale Supérieure, PhD in Molecular Biology), Marc Delcourt turned to business creation in the field of biotechnology. Over the last 10 years, he has been involved in scientific, general management, business development, intellectual property and finance activities.
The team is continually growing and currently includes more than 20 salaried staff.
Liliane Bronstein, Chief Financial Officer
Since 1997, Liliane has been CFO in fast growing listed European companies in the High Tech and Information Technology (IT). She led several operations in corporate finance (IPO, M&A). Liliane holds a Masters degree in Finance and joined Global Bioenergies at the end of 2010 as CFO.
Thomas Buhl, Head of Business development
Following an MSc in Biotechnology and a biotech-focused Master's in business administration, Thomas started his career in the technology transfer office of the C.E.A. He then became Business Development Manager at Biométhodes and subsequently took over the responsibility for the strategic development of MorphoSys, one of the three biggest German biotech companies. Thomas joined Global Bioenergies in October 2010.
Macha Anissimova, Head of Research
Macha Anissimova obtained her PhD at the Université Technologique de Compiègne. She has since acquired unique expertise in enzymology and metabolic engineering in both public (CEA, Chemistry of Natural Substances Institute) and private establishments.
Sabine Mazaleyrat, Ph.D., Protein engineering and Enzyme Evolution
Sabine Mazaleyrat has a degree in Biochemistry and also received her Ph.D in Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester (UK). She then was a research scientist at the University of Leeds (UK), before joining Astra-Zeneca (UK) where she was in charge of setting up and running a Directed Evolution High-Throughput screening platform. Sabine joined Global Bioenergies in April 2009.
Romain Chayot, Ph.D., Strain Design and Construction
Romain Chayot has a degree from the Ecole SupAgro, Montpellier and received a Ph.D. in Microbiology for his research work on genomic engineering in microbial organisms at the Institut Pasteur, Paris. Romain joined Global Bioenergies in April 2009.
Richard Tallon, Ph.D., Head of Development
Richard obtained his PhD in Microbiology at the University of Bordeaux 2 . He then focused as a research scientist in public laboratories (ENITA Bordeaux, North Carolina State University) before managing a team in the development of bioprocesses in the Lesaffre group, specialist in industrial yeast production. Richard joined Global Bioenergies in September 2009.
